What is Magniwork, you might ask, and why oh why would I label it a scam? Well, if one were to just read the Magniwork web site, one would see that this is nothing short of the miracle cure to all our energy woes. This reasonably small device that can power anywhere from 50%-100% of our home at a low, DIY cost is truly a miracle. A miracle, or a scam. I’m not quick to believe in miracles, personally. It sure does sound neat, though, doesn’t it?
A Zero point magnetic power generator is basically a Free Energy Generator. It uses magnets, and magnetic force to induce perpetual motion. It runs by itself, indefinitely without stopping, thus creating completely free electrical energy, which can fully power your home for free. A Perpetual motion device refers to a machine that runs perpetually i.e. indefinitely, and produces a larger amount of energy than it consumes. Thus, it produces free energy indefinitely, runs by itself, without having to need a third-party device or resource to power it.
The free energy devices have been suppressed by the corporate world, because such devices, would allow people to create their own energy for free, which would ultimately shut down the big energy corporations, because people won’t need to pay anymore for electricity to fill their pockets.
AWESOME!
Scam checklist time:

Yep. Sounds like a scam to me.

I find it hard to believe that it has been a year since the controversial bailouts, but apparently it has been that long. Another surprise is that banks are actually paying money back as they were supposed to, and there is profit. A pretty good bit of profit, at that.
From the New York Times at http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/31/business/economy/31taxpayer.html?_r=1&hp:
Nearly a year after the federal rescue of the nation’s biggest banks, taxpayers have begun seeing profits from the hundreds of billions of dollars in aid that many critics thought might never be seen again.
The profits, collected from eight of the biggest banks that have fully repaid their obligations to the government, come to about $4 billion, or the equivalent of about 15 percent annually, according to calculations compiled for The New York Times.
$4 billion! That’s a good bit of scratch. Could buy Marvel for that sort of money.

Though this may not be the sort of controversial, alarmist news intended to be pushed along here at ZOMGWTF?!com, my response was definitely that of surprise. Up is down, black is white and the future of Marvel hero movies is uncertain now. Hey, what’s a super hero movie without a princess, though. Am I right?
From http://money.cnn.com/2009/08/31/news/companies/disney_marvel/index.htm:
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — The Walt Disney Co. announced Monday that it has agreed to purchase comic book and action hero company Marvel Entertainment for about $4 billion.
4 billion dollars! I bet Peter Parker’s spidey senses are tingling now.
